Morningside is scheduling infrastructure built for independent operators: no marketplace, and no fees for “new” clients who were already coming to you. Setup takes minutes, and you can run Morningside alongside your current system until you’re sure.

It doesn’t connect to Square or theCut, and it won’t pull your old appointments in. You don’t have to move them. Keep the bookings you already have where they are, put your Morningside link out for new ones, and subscribe your Google or Apple calendar to Morningside so everything shows up in one place. It’s a one-way subscription: your bookings show up in your calendar, but edits you make there don’t sync back. Rebook texts reach clients who booked through your Morningside link.

Every text starts with “Morningside:” and names your business in the first line, like “Your Fade District cut is booked for Thu 2:00 PM.” Only clients who tick the box when they book get them, and they’re only ever about that client’s own appointment. You can read every text a client got in their thread on your Customers page. Turn on privacy mode and texts say “appointment” instead of the service.

Your client list downloads as a spreadsheet any time from your Customers page: names, phone numbers, visit history and your notes. It’s your list either way.

No. Morningside is 100% web-based. Your clients tap your link in bio and book from their browser in under 30 seconds — nothing to download, nothing to learn.

When you mark a no-show, Morningside texts that client a secure link to grab a new time. They pick one, tap Confirm, and they’re back on your calendar. It’s built for your regulars: most no-shows are bad timing, not goodbyes, and a friendly nudge keeps them without a fee or an awkward text. If a client cancels by text instead, their cancellation confirmation includes your booking link so they can rebook anytime.

Morningside doesn’t take payments or store cards, so your clients never hit a card form to book with you. If you want a deposit, turn on Deposits in your settings: right after a client books, they see your own payment link or instructions (Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, Square, whatever you already use). The money goes straight to you, and you decide whether to keep, credit or refund it if they don’t show.

That’s exactly where it belongs. One short link works in your bio, your Google profile, or any text you send.

Big shops that need staff logins, payroll or commissions. You can add up to 10 team members for free, and each gets their own calendar and booking link, but they don’t log in or manage their own page yet. If you book your own clients, or run a small team, it’s built for you.
